16:9 at 4K: why a big source matters
3840×2160 is 16:9, the same shape as 1080p but with four times the detail — so it only pays off when the source actually has that resolution to give. The mode decides how a non-16:9 source fills the frame, and "don't enlarge" protects you from faking detail that isn't there:
